Apps and software
“pzn_pwgen” is a password generator, available for both Linux and
Windows. The Windows version comes in two variants (console only and
GUI only). (The Linux version combines both variants in one executable.)
Version 1.5.0 of 30 Jul 2020.
“web-pwgen” is a simple webapp to generate passwords (both
“conventional” and CVC) suitable for a number of applications.
Our password apps for mobile devices can be found via Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Flatfish ticketing system
Green Pike uses a custom ticketing system, Flatfish. This is developed using Ada and Dart, and is not open-source. It's currently in development, primarily for our own use.
If you'd like to try Flatfish, let us know. A demo licence and binaries can be downloaded from here. While it's in early development, the licences are free (but not forever).
The current manual can be found here.
Eltanin — multi-document cross-referencing and numbering
Eltanin primarily comprises a Python script for making multiple passes over Pandoc markdown supplemented for cross-referencing.
Like other software here, this product primarily addresses our own requirements, and is released in case others find it useful. The particular features here are
- Cross-references that should work between documents, along with traceability when carrying out document reviews.
- Section and paragraph numbering; for both, the visible numbers can be turned off but the references are still available.
- One name space for a series of cross-referencing directives.
- Structured to make custom fix-ups easier.
You can find the current description / documentation is available,
along with a read-only Git repository.
This is released under GPLv3.
GPG/GnuPG and Alpine integration
Topal is a “glue” program that links
Alpine (a rewrite of the
University of Washington's Pine email client). It offers
facilities to encrypt, decrypt, sign and verify emails and is released under GPL3.
See the main distribution page, the manual or the read-only Git repository
A single game, The Notwork
is available via itch.io.
It's a parody text adventure where a suffering academic at The Totalitarian University —motto: 'Praesertim Pecunia'— tries to get their network connection fixed so they can do more useful things.
Files ending “.exe” are for Windows. Others are for Linux.
